We here at Smitten Magazine are… well… smitten with Whitney Deal. If you have not had the pleasure of knowing about Whitneys work, we are happy to introduce to you this design darling.
The Bio: In 2011, Whitney Deal went into full production with a line of wedding, bridesmaid, and garden party dresses that are a blend of comfort and sweetness with the perfect touch of simplicity. With a dedication to producing heirloom quality wedding attire made entirely in the USA, all dresses are designed and produced by hand in our North Carolina studio. We believe a wedding dress should be a reflection of each brides own unique self and style – dresses that create a lovely, whimsical, and timeless version of your already beautiful self. And as far as bridesmaids go, we really do want you to be able to wear them again.
Based in North Carolina, Whitney also works side by side with her husband as a photographer. You can see more of their work at their website, Oh, Darling! In 2007, she started a design blog, Darling Dexter, that has grown into a journal of inspiration and platform to share her latest works and findings.
Whitney’s 2013 Bridal Collection
You can find Whitney’s gowns in her NEW showroom opening June 2013 in downtown Wilkesboro, North Carolina – learn more here. And also at Andria Bird Bride and Glitter & Grit. We adore this Real Wedding featuring an assortment of bridesmaid dress styles by Whitney…
As a mom myself, with a 14-month old daughter, I can appreciate the darling childrens clothes Whitney has been creating for her own daughter Glory Maeve (don’t you just adore that name). Whitney shares: “I decided to try my hand at making a few for Glory Maeve and I’ve been so pleased with the outcome. I’ve enjoyed it so much so that I’ve been designing a few custom prints for her own one-of-a-kind leggings which I can’t wait to share. ” I can admit I am selfishly hoping she starts a children’s line of clothes as well. Just look at this cuteness…
