From the stylist & model:  As we were wrapping up another amazing wedding day, Emily of Emily Millay Photography and I were discussing how I never took any outdoor photos at my own wedding.  Emily let me know that she wanted to shoot an “Indian Summer” themed beach photo shoot to take advantage of the unseasonably warm October in Cleveland and had been looking for a couple to model and she thought I would be perfect for it!  I was of course ecstatic, Emily is amazing!  She asked if I wanted to plan the shoot as well and I immediately began thinking of ideas.  Being able to go wedding dress shopping again was super fun!  The ladies at The Dress Bridal Boutique were beyond generous to let us put a wedding dress in Lake Erie, and their boutique is so cute with tons of amazing choices!

I worked with the creative geniuses at Plantscaping & Blooms to create the most amazing scene on a neighborhood beach near Cleveland, Ohio.  We really wanted to work with the rich colors of Autumn while also drawing inspiration from the beach.  This resulted in a stunning color palette complete with shells, driftwood, and netting.  Borrow Rentals had the perfect items to complete our vision including a canoe!  And how amazing is that round farm table?! Kelsey Elizabeth Cakes made our naked cake and macarons.  Rather than using traditional stationery I decided to take a walk on the beach and find shells to make place cards, how lucky am I to have a job that involves walks on the beach.

Lugging all of these items down to the beach was no easy task and I am so thankful for such an amazing team to pull all of this off.  We had a bit of a weather scare when it unexpectedly started to rain 10 minutes into our photo shoot but thankfully we didn’t give in.  The sky remained dark but the rain let up to allow us to get some more photos and get everything off the beach. Emily snapped one last photo of my mom and I so I could remember how fortunate I am to have someone willing to haul items up and down multiple flights of stairs as I sat and got pampered for hair and makeup!  It actually started pouring like crazy the minute I pulled into my driveway, sometimes things work out so perfectly!
