Making a garland of flowers isn’t nearly as hard as you might think.  Just be sure you put it last on the party to do list to make sure the blooms don’t wilt.  Follow these easy directions to make your very own.  To save money, forage greenery from your garden, just look out for bugs.

Supplies:

  • Greenery
  • Ribbon or cording the length you want the garland
  • Floral tape
  • Floral wire
  • Hot glue gun (just in case) or floral adhesive works well too
  • Flowers

Step two: Use the floral tape to secure the branches to your cording.  Activate the sticky by stretching slightly.  Make it as full or sparse as you like, but be sure to hide the tape.  A dab of glue on the back of a leaf to the tape can keep it hidden.

Step three: After you have the branches and leaves to you liking, add in the flowers.  The flowers can be taped in if you plan to hang the garland, but if you are using it for a table centerpiece, place the greenery garland on your table, then you can just tuck the flowers into the foliage.  Keep going until you’ve reached the desired fullness.
