Ballet is already romantic, with the costumes, beautiful lines, and love stories.  It’s a natural to pair with a boudoir session for inspiration that is feminine, serene and soft.  Even if you lack classical training, you can still take mimic the graceful poses, simply trade the pointe shoes for some sexy heels.

Event designer, Elle Ellinghaus, explains her vision:

I wanted to bring out a sensual side to the typical “getting ready photos before a wedding,” with a boudoir-esque set to start. I wish all women knew how beautiful they were, and one of the things I urge my brides to do is to have boudoir photos done for this empowerment before their wedding day. Bringing this into the shoot was my favorite part. I had brought in vintage, delicate negligees from Paris, along with a almost-blush corset from the 1890’s and combined it with matching ballerina slippers. We placed the ballerina in front of the gold vanity, and the only way to describe the scene was beauty.  The dance moves left all of our jaws on the floor as she made bending, twisting and moving on her tip toes look effortless.  It was such a graceful, playful and feminine day, perhaps one of my favorite days of work so far.
